About 90 minutes by car from Tokyo, DANQOO sits just steps from the beautiful Iwai Beach in Minamiboso.
It opened in December 2022 as a hotel with natural hot springs in all 10 rooms,
two dog runs including one of about 1,000 m², and completely private dining.

Dining is DANQOO's greatest attraction. The restaurant on the first floor is divided into completely private dining rooms, so you can enjoy a relaxed meal without worrying about other guests or their dogs.
Using DANQOO's original dining chairs for dogs, owners and dogs sit at the same table at the same eye level.
To pair with the cuisine, the restaurant cellar holds a selection of fine champagne, wine, sake and shochu.

Every room at DANQOO has its own private natural hot-spring bath.
Whether it is the jacuzzi on the terrace or the large, stylish bathtub, your dog can bathe with you. Use it whenever and as often as you like during your stay.
For those who want a bigger soak, there is also a large shared bath in the hotel (dogs are not admitted to the shared bath only).

DANQOO's pride: two very different dog runs. One is a run of about 1,000 m² (300 tsubo) nestled against the primeval forest beside the guest wing, with a free-drink bar corner.
The other is a rooftop dog run on the second floor with fine views.
Both are floodlit so that you can use them after dinner too.

Watching the flames with your dog may become one of the highlights of your trip. At the café space by the terrace entrance, selected light meals, sweets, coffee, tea, sparkling wine and more are yours to enjoy at no extra charge.

A secret path to Iwai Beach
3 min walk to the beach
From beside the dog run, a path through the primeval forest leads to Iwai Beach: a secret shortcut for DANQOO guests. Pass through the tunnel of deep green and in about 3 minutes on foot you reach the beautiful 2 km sweep of Iwai Beach. On clear days you can see Mt. Fuji across Tokyo Bay and magnificent sunsets.

Food is what DANQOO cares about most. We make generous use of carefully selected fresh local ingredients and serve dinner in completely private dining rooms, together with a meal for your dog.
We use seasonal ingredients caught and grown locally and change the menu with each season. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, discover a different side of Minamiboso's food every time you visit.
In the completely private dining room, a special chair and meal are prepared for your dog, so the whole family can share a delicious, unforgettable time together.

Dog runs, onsen and bonfire are available any time, as often as you like. The schedule below is a guide.

Check-in
Check-in is from 15:00 to 18:00. Change into your samue loungewear and head to the dog run with your dog first.

Two dog runs
The 1,000 m² dog run has a free-drink bar corner; the rooftop dog run is on the second floor with fine views. Both are free, with no time limit.

Your in-room onsen
Every room has a private natural hot-spring bath. Use it whenever and as often as you like during your stay, together with your dog.

Dinner in your private dining room
A creative kaiseki dinner in a completely private dining room, with a dining chair and a special meal for your dog.

Bonfire terrace & grooming
After dinner, head to the bonfire terrace in the courtyard. Light meals, sweets and drinks at the café space are free of charge. The grooming room and free lounge are open until 22:30.

With two spacious dog runs, the bonfire terrace and Iwai Beach about 3 minutes' walk away, there is plenty for you and your dog to enjoy; neither of you will be bored.
Terms
Conditions for dogs
Only dogs that meet all of the conditions below may stay with you.
- Your dog must be registered with the local authority, well domesticated, at least 6 months old, and a small breed weighing no more than 10 kg.
- Your dog must have been vaccinated against rabies and viral infectious diseases (a combination vaccine of 5 or more strains) between 2 weeks and 1 year before the stay, and must not be infected with those diseases.
- A maximum of 2 dogs per room.
- Your dog must have basic training and must not bark excessively, jump on people or damage the facilities.
- Should your dog relieve itself inside the facilities, you must clean up hygienically.
- Your dog must have been treated against fleas and ticks.
- Your dog must not be in heat or pregnant.
Dogs are not admitted to the large shared bath only. You are welcome to share the hot-spring bath in your room with your dog.

A plan for solo travellers, on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) only. Play to your heart's content on the 1,000 m² dog run, soak in your in-room onsen with your dog, and share a table in a completely private dining room. Time for just the two of you, with no one else to think about.
After dinner, head to the bonfire terrace in the courtyard and spend a quiet evening by the fire with your dog.
